Electrostatic Painting

Recently Painted Items

The Locker Man has been successfully using electrostatic painting for over 30 years.

During this time, we've painted millions of items, including school lockers, office furniture, bathroom partitions, mezzanines, and more. Our electrostatic painting process can transform even the most damaged and worn metal furniture, giving it a fresh, brand-new appearance.

Electrostatic Painting Process

At The Locker Man, we utilize an advanced attraction coating process with a mobile electrostatic painting unit to refinish all metal surfaces on your company’s premises.

This process involves an ionizing electrode, typically located at the tip of the paint gun atomizer, which imparts additional electrons to paint particles, making them negatively charged. As the coating is applied, the charge dissipates through the grounded workpiece and returns to the power supply, completing the circuit.

The electrostatic field guides the paint particles, drawing them toward the grounded surface. This results in significantly reduced overspray. Paint particles that bypass the workpiece are attracted to and deposited on the back, a phenomenon known as "wrap."

At The Locker Man, our electrostatic refinishing process includes thorough cleaning and preparation before applying the coating. The paint cures overnight, ensuring superior adhesion and wear resistance for a long-lasting, high-quality finish.
